The picture of Joe is absolutely mesmerizing! His eyes have a vast amount of wisdom in them. We have wonderful memories from Blast and AJ remembers that time as such a carefree and fun time in their lives. We are so glad we knew him.

Diane, Mike, Tony, & David,
We are so very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. You all have been a part of our daily lives over the past 4 years as we have prayed for Joe and your family, and as we have kept watch over Joe in our own small way through your daily postings. When we knew Joe best during his early swimming days until your move to Charlotte, he always impressed me as an old soul - wise beyond his years. Joe has left an indelible footprint on the lives of all of us who had a chance to know him. He was a remarkable young man, and he was ever so lucky to have you all as his family. Joe's spiritual presence will remain strong with you forever, and we pray that God's peace will be with you during the next months and years as you struggle to adjust to life without Joe's physical presence. You are all forever in our prayers.
Love,
Kim, Mark, & Alex Rozanski

I just heard about Joe. I am so sorry. I know that words do little at this time but I hope that knowing others care and are lifting you in prayer will help. You and your family are in my thoughts today and in the weeks ahead.

Mike, Diane, Tony and David,
Our hearts are broken for your loss. I know we haven't been in touch for years, but you have never been far away from our thoughts and prayers. I have a picture in my mind of the boys. It's black and white in jeans and white shirts...it was a Christmas card no doubt...beautiful, beautiful little boys. We didn't know Joe as the young man he grew to be, but he will be in our hearts always as the beautiful little boy in the picture and running around the pool at Canyon Creek. Joe still holds a 6 and under record at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson, Texas. He swam the Back in 24.66 in 1996. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

MIke, Diane, and family,
Although Joe and I never met, in 2006, Joe's story changed my life. His fight and determination touched my soul. Because of his perseverance, I was able to find the strength to carry forward through my own cancer treatment. Words cannot express what his spirit has done for me. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

Mike, Diane, Tony and David--We are so sorry and grieve for you. Our prayer is that the Lord will meet you and comfort you deeply. Hunter has many great times with Joe during their preteen years at Pilot. (He still wears that Santa hat you got them the time you took him to southeasterns for us!) May you experience grace and peace in the days and weeks ahead.
