Our lives would not have been the same without "Mrs. Hodges!" She was always there for us. Her loving and generous nature taught Emily and Tim to be better people and to love life. Her cheery disposition affected us all. We are indebted to her for instilling a sense of creativity in the children whether it be her special cookies, crafts and games, or working in the garden to foster beauty and awe for plants and vegetables. We still have "Hodgey Bear" that she made -- it is a treasure. We will always remember her with love, admiration and appreciation.

Ruth,
Your mother was a lively character, had interesting stories, and was as sweet as she could be. We'll never forget the hat that she wore when she gardened. Too cute. She had the fortune of living a full life. We had the fortune of meeting her. So glad to have met her acquaintance.

My most heartfelt condolences go out to the family. I feel so lucky to have spent time with Great Aunt Jane during my college years. She was indeed the brightest of souls and I love her dearly.

Dear Loved ones, Mary Louise, Ruthie, and DJ, What a wonderful mom Aunt Jane was to us all. Especially as a graduate student, I remember her taking me and my friends in Baltimore under her huge wings. I think of her often and wish you all peace at this sad time.I've sent a gift to her children's fund. Love, Susan

With her enthusiasm, sharp wit and love of gardening, even in the extreme humid summers of Texas, Jane was an inspiration to everyone she met. Prim, proper, quite a character. Loved her dearly. She will be missed but her life will be remembered for years to come.

DJ,
I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is diffucult, but I hope you find comfort in knowing that she is in Heaven. And, that you can take comfort in the thoughts and prayers of those around you, including myself.
Deepest Sympathies,
Kim Johns
