Woody's lifelong presence made a difference in the lives of all those who knew him well, and even in the lives of many who were unaware of his kindness and generosity. He lived his life by the "golden rule." Our weekly visits to Woody and time spent together with him will be cherished forever. He will truly be missed.

To my dear "Gran-Woody." You will always be remembered as such a loving grandfather who cared about every move I made in life, when life was so stressful many years ago. I will remember your love and willingness to listen and offer advice. The day you told me to never call you "uncle-Woody" again, but Gran-Woody instead, was the day I knew how much you loved me unconditionally as you did your own grandchildren. God Bless your soul for heaven is a much happier place with you there. Leslie

From the first time I met you 27 years ago, you made me feel a part of the family. You were one of the most caring and giving people I have ever known or will probably ever know. I know that God was waiting for you with open arms because you were such a great person here on earth. I will miss my occasional phone call to you. You were such a special person to me.
I would like to offer my sympathy to Don and Leta's families on the loss of your father and grandfather. I love him too.
Love you,
Deborah

Dear Grandpa,
How blessed we were to have you in our lives. You were always so positive, always smiling and never ever met a stranger. I will miss you more than I can express. Especially your sweet southern charm. "Well, good, honey", you'd always say. I sure will miss hearing you say that. I am so glad we were able to spend such quality time with you over the last few years. And very glad that you got to love Patrick and all of your other grandchildren. It was time for us to let you rest now, peacefully.
Love you always,
Laura

My thoughts & prayers are with Don & Leta and families as they mourn the loss of their wonderful, sweet father. He was a dear friend of my Mom & Dad. Thinking about Don & Leta brings back some of my fondest moments at Ascension.
