Obituary of Kenneth Franke

Kenneth Richard Franke Mr. Franke, 67, of Charlotte, NC died on March 9, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville. He was born on June 18, 1944 in Pennsylvania, son of the late Reverend Martin and Luella Franke. Mr. Franke was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College now known as Barton College and became a C.P.A. in the hospitality industry and later worked as Operations Manager at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church until his retirement. He was also a very active member of St. Luke?s which he loved dearly. Mr. Franke was a member of the choir and also volunteered with Loaves & Fishes. He is survived by his sisters, Nancy Holtzman and her husband, Chris, and Pat Barton and her husband, Ryland; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church, 3200 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28209. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke?s Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 11063, Charlotte, NC 28220-1063 to the Matching Grant Challenge or the church choir.
