Alex was such a special young man. The best doggy sitter we ever had. So many wonderful memories, Thanksgiving dinner at our home in Portland, his awarding of the Eagle Scout Honor, the dedication of his Eagle Scout project and so many more. Losing a child is so hard to understand and there will always be a hole in your heart. God be with all of you as you grieve together. He was a very special young man and we were honored to have known him.

I am so very sad to hear of Alex's death. Alex, Deanna, Brian and Kristen were so good to my son Steven all those years in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts together. I have so many good memories of Alex and his smiling face and love of the outdoors. I think he owned every outdoor gadget there was in Boy Scouts! Alex had a great curiosity of many things and talented at many things as well. I will miss him but am thankful to have known him! May God Bless you Alex, and your family, at this time.

As boy
When Alex was a boy he came to visit during a camping trip to Whitney portal, while his dad was hiking we enjoyed a little fishing. He was great company, interested in everything his uncle Jimmy could teach him about native american fishing, hunting.I just admired Alex, seeing similarities in his appearance to his dad,the beautiful color of his eyes.Respectful and protective of his mom and sister. Not too many Thanksgivings ago we had a family re-union in Bishop,Alex a young man,Kristen a young lady again I admired my nephew and niece seeing a blend of their parents, and yet so distinctly unique.Alex you are loved!
