This has been the saddest news. At Chapel Hill High School, Agnes was always so kind to everyone and always so full of joy and happiness. RIP Agnes...you were truly a beautiful lady.

Agnes was a very special lady with a wonderful loving family and we are so glad to have been able to call her a friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. For many years she was the gal that made things happen for the NC State Wolfpack Club in Mecklenburg County.

My family has been blessed by knowing Agnes and Steve Browning. We were there neighbors for several years and just acquaintances until a fateful day in 2000 when our house next door was struck by lightning and burned. We were out of town, Agnes tracked us down, and upon my return she and Steve took me in for a week, while we sorted things out, plus the rest of my family for another week once they returned. Agnes was so kind, and warm and fun. I saw in Agnes a bright light and the great love that was the fabric of the Browning Family. Steve our hearts go out to you and Alex & Nicole, and Andy & Kristin and the grandchildren. I am sure she will be up there getting St Peter and others straightened out with her normal amount of good humor. She truly is special.

Agnes was like a calm after the storm. She was a great Christian example to me and certainly all who knew her. Living next door to Agnes and her family during some of my formative years provided some of my fondest memories as well as a glimpse at a family that helped mold my values. Thanks

I just had to say that I met Agnes in 2006 and we were in a Bible study together at Church at Charlotte about ?Walking by Faith?. Although I am over 20 years her junior, I felt as though I had met a sweet, dear friend and enjoyed her company when we spent any time together. Agnes was SO young at heart!!! She was a fun-loving lady, and a joy to be around.
My heart aches for your family loss, because Agnes was so vibrant! I will choose to be joyful for her... as she dances with The Father... pain free! Those of us left here on this earth have an empty spot in our hearts, but we can rest knowing that Agnes is where we all want to be. Agnes is not only at peace, but she is joyfully worshiping her Savior. She truly walked by faith... right into the arms of Jesus.
I will always adore Agnes and remember her fondly. I am thankful that I got to go visit her at Mercy and hold her hand, pray over her and just talk, reminiscing about our sweet Bible Study group from 2006-2007. I had the privilege of meeting a few of Agnes' friends when I went up to the hospital and the love they had for Agnes was very evident and spoke volumes about what a dear, amazing, sweet, and precious lady she was... is... and continues to be. Jesus is enjoying her one-on-one company and we can stay close to Agnes when we are talking to God, The Father? Her Father? thanking him for the time we had with her and for the fact that she was in our lives... no matter how short. We have been touched by an angel and we have been changed. Agnes is and was loved. Thank you, Jesus for Agnes!

I got to know Mrs. Browning when I began Charlotte Christian School in 1978-79. Alex and I were class mates and became good friends and played sports together. I spent many afternoons and evenings over at the Browning?s and she treated me like one of her own sons. She was one of the sweetest and kindest ladies I have ever known. She will be missed and I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. Thank you again for your kindness and being a model Mom.
