To Mildred,
I met you at your home in Aldersgate With Stephanie, your granddaughter. I do know how much she truely loved you and your husband. I know from the stories that you were a wonderful person and after I met you, I fell in love with you. I am glad I was able to meet such a wonderful person and I am glad I was able to talk with you on more than one occasion. When I think of you, I smile. You have a wonderful family and I enjoyed spending time with every one of them including Hannah and her birthday partys. You had a tremendous impact on them and me. I will miss you. I hope to see you again.

I remember Mildred and John and sang in the choir at Race St. Methodist with John. He was the one who asked me about being called of God and helping to guide me in the right direction. Mildred was always so gracious. I am sorry to hear of your loss. YOu had wonderful parents. My Mother is at The Methodist Home in Charlotte.

I read this sad news and it brought back so many memories of backyard friendships- all of you and our family. You played together and it meant so much for us-- to have Mildred and John close and never to be forgotten. Mildred was a thoughtful Mother and a dear neighbor. My deepest sympathy to you
