Donna was a very genuine person. Real people with emotional depth are a rarity. We had a conversation a few months ago about loss, living, love and grief which lasted over an hour while standing on the neighborhood sidewalk. Impromptu discussions were her forte.it didn’t matter if the conversation was concerning pets, family, friends, politics, or God. Grieving the loss of her mother, she shared that she wasn’t sure when the pain would end and I shared that my grief over the loss of my mother has taken many years to process. That special moment turned to lengthy conversation gave us the opportunity to share stories, hugs and laughs as shameless tears of sorrow slid down our cheeks. I will treasure that conversation. I pray that her family be blessed with friends who will listen and provide those moments for them to tell stories and who will be a shoulder to cry on as they grieve loosing her sooner than any of them would have expected or wanted. Prayers for all during this time.
