In memorial of our sweet Aunt Pat…
Our hearts are broken as we learned of her recent passing. We cherish the wonderful memories, for me her niece (Donna Rush Mancuso), was a visit to their lake home back in the 70’s. We got to learn how to ride mopeds and waterski! They never told me about a water moccasin snake that was near me as I was trying to put on my waterski in the water! Glad they never said a word until much later in my life! I remember her good cooking and the smell of her warm chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. Uncle Bob was playing The Carpenters music while we were running around their big home just having so much fun!
They would come visit our childhood home in Cypress California at Christmas time…we all loved seeing them especially his brother our dad Jesse!
They both came to visit us in our Irvine California home too. We treasured our time with them. Around 2008, my son Jake, my dad Jesse Rush and I flew out to visit them at their beautiful farmhouse! What a great time we had! Aunt Pat drove us to The Biltmore Estate in Asheville. We all took a tour until we couldn’t walk anymore! She cooked for us and she gave me a couple of her beautiful paintings that I treasure so much! My son just loved their southern accents as they used two syllables to say “Jake”…they called him Jay-ake! Both she and Uncle Bob were the perfect hosts!
We will miss our Aunt Pat so much as she was always so kind to us all! May God Bless her soul as she joins Uncle Bob in heaven. Our deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved her.
With love The Mancuso’s Phil, Donna (her niece) and Jake
