Susanne was one of the first attorneys I met when I joined NACBA (National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys); she graciously gave me her time and friendship along the way as she explained the extremely intricate way that the bankruptcy rules impact our clients' lives. She was my conference roommate for many of the last 16 years, creating laughter over the years and stronger bonds of friendship. We had always planned for her to show me around Europe as we would be retiring about the same time. Susanne will be missed -- unfailingly loyal to her friends and one who would be kind to those who were not her friends, while quietly muttering "bless her/their/his heart".

I met Susanne once about 10 years ago. It was a business meeting. I remember her as being very friendly, confident, kind and interested in my thoughts. She was lovely. It was extra special, as I worked for many years in the Main OR with Dr Robicsek, where we all become family. My sincere condolences to you, Mrs. Robicsek, and to Susanne's brothers & sister. She was far too young to be gone from this world. I will keep your family in prayer. I am so sorry to read of your loss. Kathryn Fuller RN

We are ever so saddened by this sudden and painful tragedy. I personally have wonderful memories of teaching French to Susanne at Charlotte Country Day.
She was an exceptional student, full of vitality, loving the language, and a most delightful and special young woman!
Her family are ever so dear to our hearts, and we remind so very thankful for all the love and kindness they shared toward us us over 30+ years.
You, dear friends, remind for ever in our hearts.
Please accept our deepest condolences.

Susanne and I have been best friends since we were small children- even our dogs were best friends. We loved riding our ponies around the neighborhood when we were young. She has always been my rock thru the best of times and the worst times. She was the maid of honor at my wedding . We had a wonderful friendship throughout our lives and I will miss her dearly.

NACBA was/is Susanne's family.
Though many of us were only able
to gather personally only once or twice a year, our friendships started and were nourished
by online engagement.
Yet, even with this limited contact,
Susanne was one who understood
and accepted me as I am.
So thankful that the always thoughtful and generous Kathryn and Jay Jump hosted regular online Happy Hours so that we could gather virtually in this pandemic period.
Rare was the occasion in the last few years when Susanne did
not say something like "Oh Kurt, he is such a goofball, yada, yada, but you just have to
love him."
Rare is the person who makes you smile whenever you see or even think about
her.
As I perceive the sands of my time fall ever faster through my hourglass,
I realize that rarer still is that person who loves you unconditionally.
I am surprised as I write this to find the tears streaming uncontrollably down my face.
It is the measure of my loss that looking past Susanne's spot in my life - there is no one there to take her place.
I can only pray that her trials and tribulations have terminated as God enfolds her in his arms as she
joins him in eternal peace.

I was privileged to know Susanne from high school, and then reconnect with her through Facebook. From our high school reunion on, we kept in touch. I sent her Christmas cards every year, and postcards from my travels. I had not realized how much they meant to her until she contacted me in December, 2021 to let me know she enjoyed getting them. It was only then that she shared her struggles with me. The sadness I feel at this loss is balanced by the sweet memories of a truly delightful woman.
Susanne was a very special, vibrant, wonderful person. She stood out to me in high school as a friendly, open teenager, and she stood out to me later in life as an exemplary, kind, dynamic, and benevolent woman. I wish I could send one last postcard to her in her new, perfect home beyond ...

Susanne was such a wonderful spirit, kind and positive and fun to be around. It’s been a million years since I saw her at summer camp but I can see her smile now, plain as day. RIP to a lovely woman.

What a beautiful tribute to dear Susanne, whom I've known since 2nd grade at Eastover and on to CCDS and beyond. To Mrs. Robicsek, Steven, Frances and John - I can't begin to express my sorrow for your loss and ours as well. I always enjoyed conversations with Susanne, who was a staunchly loyal, fair and caring person. She was great fun at all our CCDS reunions, and someone I expected to always be there to keep us level headed. Please know that you all are in my heart as I remember Susanne and her infinite love and kindness.
Sincerely, Beth Corzine
