Obituary of Betty Tarleton

Betty J. Tarleton ?Miss. T.? Mrs. Tarleton, 74, of Charlotte died Friday, April 30, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. A native Charlottean, Mrs. Tarleton was born May 6, 1934 daughter of the late Melvin and Katherine Rogers McQuay. She enjoyed all sports especially NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves and the Carolina Panthers. Betty also loved to go the casino in Cherokee, NC. She will be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Tarleton was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Tarleton in 1992 Survivors include her son, Billy Tarleton and his wife, Debbie of Monroe, NC; daughter, Cathy Paulson and her husband, Walt of Mooresville, NC; son, Scott Tarleton and his wife, Karen; daughter, Tammy Franklin and her husband, Mike; son, Mike Tarleton all of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jimmy McQuay and his wife, Marjorie of Wadesboro, NC; sister, Bobbie Keesler and her husband, Bob of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many other family members. Graveside service for Mrs. Tarleton will be held Monday, May 4, at 2:00 PM in Sunset Memory Gardens.
