Obituary of Norma Mahaffee

Norma ?Nonnie? Buie Mahaffee Mrs. Mahaffee, 74, of Soddy Daisy, joined her husband in heaven on Friday, May 29, 2009. Norma was born in Belmont, NC, and was a longtime resident of the Charlotte, NC. She has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 10 years. She retired from the Cotswold Branch of Home Federal Savings and Loan Bank, with over 34 years of service. Nonnie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Mahaffee, Jr.; her mother, Kathryn L. Little and father, James D. Buie. Nonnie is survived by her daughter, Lyndia Mahaffee Stanley and her husband Ronald C.; son, James S. Mahaffee, III; granddaughter, Michelle Wilson and her husband Dale; great grandchildren, Shelby Kay Wilson and Douglas Clyde Wilson; brother, Morton Buie; sisters, Marlyn Jones and her husband Kenneth and Joyce Paul and her husband, Rhett; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday evening June 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service. A graveside service for Mrs. Mahaffee will be held Tuesday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, P. O.
