Obituary of Charlotte Starnes

Charlotte Swain Starnes Mrs. Starnes, 82, of Stanley, died July 3, 2009 at Stanley Total Living Center. She was born on October 30, 1926 in Wilkes County, NC, daughter of the late William Howard Swain and Maie Jones Swain. Mrs. Starnes was a long time member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Jeanette Starnes. Mrs. Strarnes is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years, Vernon S. Starnes; son, James David Starnes; brother, David Swain; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2009 at the graveside in Forest Lawn West Cemetery, with Chaplain Ivan Davis of Stanley Total Living Center, officiating.
