Obituary of Pamela McClure

Pamela G. McClure Mrs. McClure, 59, of Charlotte died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Pam was born June 13, 1950 in Goshen, OH, daughter of the late Richard and Carolyn Williams French and was a graduate of Goshen High School. Pam was a loving wife, mother and tirelessly served others less fortunate than her. An out- going person, she never met a stranger. Pam volunteered at the homeless shelter and at her church, Sharon Presbyterian Church. She also served as a youth group leader and on the bereavement committee. Always active, Mrs. McClure mentored young women in the Girl Scout Program serving as a troop leader. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and reading. In addition to her parents Mrs. McClure was preceded in death by her brother, Larry French. Survivors include her husband, William H. McClure; daughter, Meghan French McClure both of Charlotte, NC; brother, Allen French and wife, Vickie of Louisville, TN; sister, Judy Munsie and husband, James of Clearwater FL; father and mother-in-law, William and Marion McClure of Hacker Valley, WV; brother-in-law Robert McClure and wife, Ilona of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Linda French of Cincinnati, OH; nephews, Jay Munsie and wife, Chris of Minneapolis, MN and Jason French and wife, Kelly of Bluff City, TN; nieces, Evin Dols and husband, Jeff of Alcoa, TN, Jennifer French Creitz and husband, Mark of San Diego, CA and Amy Munsie of Clearwater, FL and a great nephew, Kevin of Minneapolis, MN. A service to celebrate Mrs. McClure's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Sharon Presbyterian Church, 5201 Sharon Road, Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Sharon Presbyterian Church Chapel Renovation Fund, 5201 Sharon Rd, Charlotte 28210 or Emergency Winter Shelter, 3410 Statesville Ave. Charlotte, NC 28206.
