Obituary of Geraldine Headen

Geraldine Headen Mrs. Headen, 79, of Charlotte, died August 10, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on April 13, 1930, in Charlotte, the daughter of James and Ola Davis. Mrs. Headen and her husband ran the Shamrock Delicatessan for 26 years. She also loved to fish and play bingo. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Headen was preceded in death 5 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Joseph Patrick Headen, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Joseph Patrick Headen, III and Jonathan Glenn Headen; one great-grandchild; and 4 brothers and sisters. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, August 14, 2009 at Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hankins and Whittington, 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203.
