Obituary of Trudy Horne

Trudy H. Horne Mrs. Horne, 56, of Charlotte died at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC, Sunday, September 20, 2009. She was born June 16, 1953 in Rockingham, NC daughter of the late Henry Edward and Rachel Brown Hall. Trudy was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, choir member and very active with the youth of the church. She would serve in any capacity at the church. Mrs. Horne was employed with Rental Service Corporation for over 20 years. A loving wife, daughter-in-law and Aunt she will be missed by her family and many friends. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, C. Phillip ?Phil? Horne; father and mother in law, Charles and Sara Horne all of Charlotte, NC; Uncles, Gene Hall and his wife, Betty and Doc Hall all of Rockingham, NC; Aunts, Chris McKeyver of Hamlet, NC and Victoria Walters of Lexington, NC; sisters in law, Treva Helms and her husband, Michael and their children Stephanie Taylor and husband, Lance, Justin and Natalie of Matthews, NC and Tamara Surratte and husband, Derek and their children Landon and Logan, of Monroe, NC Funeral service for Mrs. Horne will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 1:45 PM prior to the service.
