Obituary of James Panos

James George Panos ?Jimmy? Mr. Panos, 67, of Charlotte died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home. A Charlotte native Mr. Panos was born July 2, 1942 son of the late George and Helen Pappas Panos. Jimmy attended CMS schools and was retired after a long career in sales. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy showered his family with his love. Survivors include his sister, Bessie Panos; nieces Joni ?Becka" Elaine Austin, Michelle Strause, Lainie Panos and Joni Tsumas; nephews, George Austin and Jeffry Panos and many cousins and extended family members. Funeral service for Mr. Panos will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Monday, October 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Father Efstathios Varvarelis and Father Tommy Vlahos officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The Trisagion will be held in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins and Whittington on Sunday evening, October 4, at 7:00 PM.
