Obituary of Ralph Fortune

Ralph Benjamin Fortune Mr. Fortune, 51, of Charlotte, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born on May 9, 1958 in Greensboro, NC son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Fortune. Mr. Fortune graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1980. He was a member Forest Hill Church and is fondly remembered as a loving brother and favorite uncle Ralph to his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Fortune had a love for the elderly and was always available to lend a helping hand, truck or tools. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Alexander F. Fortune, of Greenboro; sister, Sarah F. Belk of Charlotte and Adelaide F. Dillon of Greenboro; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held today at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Church, 7224 Park Road, Charlotte, NC with Reverend Mike Boulware officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro.
