Obituary of William Osborne

William Herbert Osborne ?Bill? Mr. Osborne, 76, of Fort Mill, SC formerly of Charlotte died at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC on Friday, November 13, 2009. A native of Charlotte Mr. Osborne was born June 11, 1933 son of the late William H. Osborne, Sr. and Grace Lee Patterson Osborne. Bill was a graduate of the class of 52, of Tech High School in Charlotte and was a US Army veteran. He was retired from Industrial Supply Solutions Inc after 17 years of service and prior to that was a partner in Cowan-Taylor. Mr. Osborne was a lifetime member of the Optimist Club and was active in his church, Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Margaret Johnston Osborne; son, Rodney Osborne and wife Lee Anne; daughter, Valerie Tolley and husband, John; grandchildren Michelle, Leslie, Billy, McKinsey and Avery and great granddaughter, Aurora Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
