Obituary of Bettye Williams

Bettye McCracken Williams Ms. Williams, 83, of Charlotte died at her residence on Friday, November 13, 2009. She was born July 11, 1926, daughter of the late Gen. David Bennett McCracken and Belle Kirby McCracken. Bettye was a graduate of Birmingham Southern College and a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. She was loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her daughter, Tracey Williams Ely and her husband, Jimmy Ely II and their children, Trae and Ashley Ely; son, David Michael Williams and his children, Lauren Williams Barwood and Kelley Williams A service to celebrate her life was held 1:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2009 in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor?s Choice.
