Her calling in life was to nurture and care for her family, friends, and neighbors. They also were there for her in her time of need. Our mother knew no boundaries in opening her home at the coast. Her love for others came in many forms- nursing the sick, preparing wonderful meals, passing along her favorite plants and flowers to those who shared the passion. She was the oldest member of her church, Oak Island Presbyterian Church. Her friends were young and old, and she shared her life with everyone she met, and made us laugh often. Our mother stood strong and true for all her wonderful life. We sincerely thank all her friends and family for their love and affection and to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter for their gentle service. Memorials may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
