Obituary of Max Haigler

Max Randall Haigler Randy, 64, of Charlotte devoted husband and father, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born February 4, 1945 son of the late Mack B. and Lulu Furr Haigler. Randy was a butcher who worked for Bi-Lo Supermarket in Charlotte for 11 years. Born in Monroe, NC, he was a 35-year resident of Charlotte and enjoyed spending time with his family and NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife Barbara and his sons and daughters-in-laws Brian and Sarah Haigler of Charlotte, NC and Jeffrey and Kristen Haigler of Charlotte, NC; daughter Tammy Haigler of Concord, NC; brother, John Butch Hartsell and wife, Diane of Midland, NC; granddaughter, Macayla Haigler of Concord, NC; aunt, Rose Lee Baker of Midland and nephews, Johnny Hartsell and wife, Marsha and Christopher Hartsell. A gathering of remembrance will be held at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, Thursday evening December 10, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
