Obituary of Spiridon Housiadas

Spiridon Housiadas Mr. Housiadas, 84, of Charlotte died Friday, December 11, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was born in Pavlopoulo, Evrytania, Greece, October 17, 1925, son of the late George and Maria Housiadas. Spiridon was a retired farmer and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his sons, Sam Housiadas and his wife Elisavet, George Housiadas and his wife, Maria and Bill Housiadas and his wife, Foteine all of Charlotte, NC; brothers, John Housiadas of Charlotte, NC and Gus Housiadas of Greece; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren . Funeral service for Mr. Housiadas will be held in Greece at a later date. A Trisagion will be held Tuesday evening December 15, 2009, at 7:00 PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Father Michael Varvarelis and Father Efstathios Varvarelis officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Ministry Fund at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203. May his memory be eternal.
