Obituary of Jeffrey Earl

Jeffrey A. Earl Mr. Earl, 64, has gone home on December 12, 2009 to be with our Father, and live in eternal peace. Jeff was born on January 19, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, son of Catherine and Albert Earl. He was the oldest of ten children. Jeff graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963. He then attended the University of Toledo until 1965 when he went to our country in Vietnam as military intelligence. In 1967, Jeff returned to Toledo and married his high school sweet heart, Carol Marie Russ. They were married for 42 years and raised three daughters, Cindy, Crissy and Catie. While residing in Toledo, Jeff successfully built and operated a chain of auto repair facilities, the Car Doctors. After 28 years of dedicated service, he retired. In July of 2002, Jeff and Carol relocated to North Carolina. While in North Carolina, Jeff decided to live on a lake and pursue his passion for both indoor and outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed boating, cooking, fishing and both water and snow skiing. Jeff always liked meeting new people and entertaining, so he developed an interest in real estate, and in May 2007 earned his general contractor?s license. Throughout the years, His family was the love of his life. Jeff is survived by his mother, Catherine; his wife, Carol; daughters, Cindy, Crissy and Catie; two grandchildren, Luke and Nate; his brother, Gary; and sisters, Connie, Kathy, Peggy, Debbie, June, Theresa, Patty, and Joann. Memorials may be made to Concord United Methodist Church 7618 Monbo Rd. Catawba, NC 28069 or St. Jude?s Children?s Research Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale Street Memphis, TN 28100. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Thursday, December 17, 2009 at St. Mark?s Catholic Church 14749 Stumptown Road Huntersville, NC with Father Timothy Reid, celebrant. Interment will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery, 7618 Monbo Rd. Catawba, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203. Rosary service will be at 7:00 in the funeral home chapel.
