Obituary of James Gladden

James Thomas Gladden, Sr. ?J.T.? Mr. Gladden, 74, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born on December 18, 1935 in Clover, SC, son of the late James Everette Gladden and Ollie Susanna Lovelace Gladden. Mr. Gladden was a veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, Paw-Paw, brother and a good friend to everyone. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gladden was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa and a sister, Thelma Fredell. He is survived by his children, James T. Gladden, Jr, Michael Gladden, and Julie Reece; grandsons, Russell Reece and James T. Gladden, III; sisters, Irene Cruse and Doris Miller; and brothers, Charles Gladden and Howard Gladden. Funeral service will at 1:00 PM, Friday, February, 19, 2010 in the chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
