Obituary of Taxarhis Moutsilos

Taxiarhis Dimitrios Moutselos Mr. Moutselos of Charlotte passed away peacefully on February 16, 2010. He was born in Hrisou Evrytania, Greece, on December 20, 1930. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Stavroula Moutselos, his brother Themistoklis Moutselos of Athens, Greece, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Nick and Dafni Karras, his cousin Maria Leris, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Moutselos served in the Greek army and was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Evrytanian Association, and the Philanthropic Association Paparousioton. Trisagion and funeral services will be held on Friday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, with Rev. Fr. Michael Varvarelis, Fr. Efstathios Varvarelis, and Fr. Taxiarhis Vlahos officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at White Oak Manor Charlotte and Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte for their care and support.
