Obituary of Lillie Farrar

Lillie Stroud Farrar Mrs. Farrar, 83, of Charlotte went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. She was born March 19, 1926 a daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Belle Whetstone Stroud in Richburg, SC. Mrs. Farrar was a member of Kilgo United Methodist Church. Lillie and her husband were the owners and operators of C.H. Farrar Superette from 1946 until they retired in 1970. An avid bowler for over 50 years, Mrs. Farrar received an emeritus pin from the Charlotte Women?s Bowlers Association. Mrs. Farrar was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents Mrs. Farrar was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Kenneth and Raymond ?Jack? Stroud and a sister, Oveline Belton. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, C.H. Farrar; daughter, Yvonne Del Rossi and husband, Frank of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Ronnie Farrar and wife, Carol of Harrisburg, NC; granddaughter, Tasha Trull and husband, Chris and their children Allison and Nathan; granddaughter, Michelle Sullivan and husband, Brian. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2010 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
