Obituary of John Brougham

John Thomas Brougham Mr. Brougham, 81, of Charlotte, formerly of Florida, died at Mecklenburg Health Care Center on Sunday, February 21, 2010. He was born in Orange, NJ, May 17, 1928. John was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was a US Army veteran and loved sports, especially baseball. Mr. Brougham was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Alice in 2008 and his sister, Florence Anderson. Mr. Brougham is survived by his son, Johnny Brougham; daughter Katie Brafford and her husband, Scott, and a grandson, Jake Brafford, all of Charlotte; A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, February 26, 2010 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Reverend Mark S. Lawlor officiating. There will be a rosary service in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service on Thursday evening at 6:30 with the family receiving friends following the rosary service until 8:00 PM.
