Obituary of Louise Mills

Louise S. Mills Mrs. Mills, 99, of Charlotte, died February 22, 2010. She was born on August 21, 1910, in Mecklenburg County to the late, Fred and Mamie Helms Satterfield. Mrs. Mills loved her family, her friends and also loved to crochet and garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mills; a daughter, Peggy Paige; two sisters, Mae Lovin and Edna Davis; two brothers, Bill Satterfield and Lloyd Satterfield; and two grandchildren, Rusty Paige and Jerry Mills, Jr. She is survived by, her children, Fred Melvin Mills and his wife, Tootsie, Lillie Plott and her husband, J.C., and Jerry M. Mills and his wife, Jenny; son-in-law, Tracy Paige; sisters, Nellie Hucks and Helen Hatley; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of The Oaks at Town Center in Harrisburg and Hospice for the love and care they gave to Mrs. Mills. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday February 25, 2010 in the chapel of Hankins and Whittington, 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203 with Reverend Alan Beard officiating. Interment will be at 12:30 PM at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
