Obituary of Virginia Fisher

Virginia Hicklin Fogle Fisher Virginia Fisher, 93, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Virginia was born on June 2, 1916 in Chester, SC, a daughter of the late James Albert Hicklin, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Hicklin. She has been a resident of Charlotte since 1925 and graduated from old Central High School in 1934. Virginia has been a devoted member of Faith Presbyterian Church on East Seventh Street for most of her adult life. Virginia retired from Hajoca Corporation in 1981 after 29 years of service. Since then, she has filled her time loving and caring for many of her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with the many other children she baby sat for over the years. She will be remembered always by these children and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, George and Albert Hicklin and her sister, Judy Hicklin. Virginia will be lovingly and deeply missed by her four sons and daughters-in law; David and Mary Fogle, George and Judy Fogle, Glenn and Jean Fogle and Walter Gerry and Nancy Fogle. She will live forever in the hearts of her thirteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Virginia will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at the funeral home. Interment will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Sharon Memorial Park.
