Obituary of Early Jacobs

Early Ray Jacobs Mr. Jacobs, 59, of Charlotte, departed this life on Friday, April 2, 2010. He was born April 1, 1951 in Robeson County, NC, a son of the late Clem and Ola Jacobs. For 26 years, Mr. Jacobs was employed by MAL Industries. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his brothers, John C. Jacobs, Datry Jacobs, Farfell Jacobs and sister, Dorothy Lee Jacobs. Survivors include his loving wife, Rita Jacobs; sisters, Geraldine Strickland of Pembroke, NC, Mary Stewart and Ann Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Vivian Burnette of Charlotte, NC and Margaret Jones of Pembroke, NC, who was also a dedicated caregiver; brothers, James Jacobs of Charlotte, Clem Jacobs, Jr. of Midland, NC & Robert Jacobs of Lumberton, NC; dedicated sister-in-law Elsie Jacobs; very special brothers &sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving, is a loyal friend, David Baucom. Funeral service for Mr. Jacobs will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Crown Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Monday evening, April 5, 2010 at the funeral home.
