Obituary of James Tucker

James Edward Tucker Mr. Tucker, 69 of Charlotte died, Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. A native of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Tucker was born June 3, 1940, a son of the late Margaret Wallace and Durell W. Tucker, Sr. James was employed as a radio technician with the City of Charlotte. Mr. Tucker enjoyed working with computers and singing karaoke, especially to Country & Western music. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Tucker and a sister, Frances T. Wilbanks. Survivors include his daughters, Kathy, Janet, and Kelley, all of GA; brother, John Tucker of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Linda Skinner and husband, Buddy of Carrollton, GA and Margaret Ray and husband, Mike of Smyrna, GA; along with two nephews and three nieces. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd.
