Obituary of Mary Britt

Mary Edythe Britt, 91, resident of Sharon Towers, died June 2, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Britt, Jr. and her daughter, Barbara B. Muse. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Britt Binney of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; grandchildren, Elizabeth P. Muse of Charlotte, Meredith M. Bearden of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and James A. Muse, III of Charlotte and son-in-law, James A. Muse, Jr. of Charlotte. Mary Britt was born and lived in Raleigh, N.C. She attended Women?s College in Greensboro, N. C. before getting married and moving to Charlotte to raise her family. She was a life long member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and lived for many years in the Sedgefield community. She taught pre-school classes at Sharon Amity Presbyterian Church before her retirement. She lived her life with love for art, animals and her family and was known for her consistently sweet and gentle way. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2010 at Sharon Towers Retirement Community, in the Sharon Room. Interment will be private.
