Obituary of Jean Ayers

Nancy Jean Ayers Ms. Ayers passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. She was born February 1, 1925 in Lancaster, SC the daughter of the late Baxter and Flora Plyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Ayers. First and foremost, Jean was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jean enjoyed cooking for her family and watching the Atlanta Braves on TV. Jean always had her suitcase packed as she loved to travel the country visiting family and friends. Surviving are her children, Nancy Ayers Medlin, Wayne Houston Ayers and his wife, Linda, James Franklin (Pete) Ayers and his wife, Nancy, Linda Sue Tabor and her husband Ernie and Douglas Lynn Ayers and his wife Chris. Jean loved her 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grand children. Ms. Ayers is also survived by her three sisters, Peggy Terry of Prince George, MD, Mary Cloninger of Roanoke, VA and Louise Michael of Charlotte as well as her brother, Bobby Plyler of Spokane, WA. Services for Ms. Ayers will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
