Obituary of Elizabeth Dinnat

Elizabeth ?Lee? M. Dinnat Elizabeth ?Lee? Marie Dinnat, 54, of Charlotte, died peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2010. She was born on October 25, 1955 in Alexandria, LA daughter of Robert M. Dinnat and Elizabeth Breen Dinnat. Lee grew up in Atlanta, GA and Champaign, IL. She earned her MBA from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and went on to a career as a CPA. Lee worked at the Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN in the accounting department, and spent most of her later career at GTE, which later became Verizon. She worked for Verizon in several locations including Indianapolis, Dallas, Manhattan and New Jersey. Lee made many lifelong friends wherever she lived. She was kind, strong and brave through everything she had to face, and her wry good sense of humor will be forever missed by her family and friends. Lee was diagnosed with ALS, and shortly thereafter she moved to Charlotte in order to be closer to her family. She is survived by her parents Bob and Betty Dinnat, her uncle Gordon Fowler, and her cousins Vincent Fowler, Helen Fowler Baxter, Tommy Fowler, John Fowler, Martha Fowler, Robert Fowler, Elizabeth Fowler Guthke, and Joe Fowler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at The Cathedral of St. Patrick, 1621 Dilworth Road East, Charlotte, with Father Richard DeClue , Parochial Vicar, as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 7 PM to 8:30PM at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte. Interment will be held privately. The family would like to express special thanks to Tom Cannon for rendering such cheerful assistance whenever it was needed.
