Obituary of Paul Taylor

Paul Forrest Taylor, Sr., 85, died July 24, 2010 at Plantation Estates in Matthews, NC of congestive heart failure. He was born June 24, 1925 in Lenoir, NC, son of the late Herman and Clara Taylor. He was the husband of the late Billie Cross Taylor. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Jet Stokes Taylor; son, Forrest Taylor of Orlando, FL; daughters, Leslie Shelton and her husband, John of Franklin, TN and Sheri Hanna Quinn and her husband, Paul of Charlotte; grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Shelton, and Payton Quinn. Mr. Taylor retired after 35 years from Piedmont Natural Gas. He was a member of Carmel Baptist Church and the Plantation Estates Retirement Community. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Ave., Charlotte, with Chaplin Larry Watts officiating.
