Obituary of William Thomason

William Hartwell Thomason Mr. Thomason, 77, of York, SC, formerly of Charlotte, NC died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. William was born August 27, 1932, in Plainville, NC son of the late James Thomason and Mary Pressley. Mr. Thomason was a Korean War veteran and was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. He was the owner of Radio, T.V. and Appliance for many years. Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Davis and husband, Lynn of Lake Wylie, SC, son, Michael Thomason and wife, Diane of Richburg, SC; daughter, Sandra Huyke and husband, Victor of Benton City, Washington; son, James B. Thomason of Richburg, SC; sister, Carol Dailey and husband, Dave of Joplin, MO; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews and two cousins also survive Mr. Thomason. Funeral service for Mr. Thomason will be held Tuesday evening July 27, 2010, at 7:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, 6031 Charlotte Highway, York, SC with the family receiving friends following the service until 9:00 PM. A committal service with military honors will be Wednesday morning July 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, NC.
