Obituary of Betty Roark

Betty Sue Cummings Roark Mrs. Roark, 74, of Iron Station, NC died at her residence on Friday, August 20, 2010. She was born December 30, 1935, in Reidsville, NC, daughter of the late Bart and Mary Jane Cummings. Betty was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She never met a stranger and always enjoyed meeting and making new friends. She loved Jesus and reading her bible. Betty was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Iron Station, NC. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Thomason of Cumming, GA and Gloria Bigham of Iron Station, NC; son, Darryl Roark of Iron Station, NC; brother, Herman Cummings of Reidsville, NC; sister, Rhoda Shelton of Reidsville, NC and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 23, 2010, in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
