Obituary of John Craig

John Edward Craig Mr. Craig, 62, of Kings Mountain, NC died unexpectedly Monday, August 23, 2010 at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC due to complications from leukemia. He was born February 11, 1948 in Sacramento, California, to John and Evelyn Craig. John worked for US Airways for 38 years as a Fleet Baggage Handler. Originally employed by PSA, he transferred to Charlotte after the merger with Us Airways. John was known for his ?crusty? personality, but he had a heart of gold. He loved working crossword puzzles, ?skinny brunettes?, smoking cigarettes, and drinking Coors Light beer. He is survived by his best friend, Mary Winecoff. A service to celebrate his life will be held 3:15 PM Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the chapel at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, with the receiving of friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Some keep the Sabbath going to church; I keep it staying at home, With a bobolink for a chorister, And an orchard for a dome.
