Obituary of Pat Andrews

Cecelia ?Pat? Pressley Young Andrews Cecelia ?Pat? Andrews, age 89, of Cleveland, GA formerly of Charlotte, NC passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Gateway Healthcare Center following a period of declining health. Pat was born on December 5, 1920 in Mooresville, NC to the late William Frank Young and Lottye Elizabeth Howard Young. As a teenager Cecelia worked for the Lance Cracker Company in Charlotte, NC where after completing business school, she held a position in the accounting office. Pat later worked part time for the Charlotte Coliseum, now known as the Bojangles? Coliseum in the ticket booth. She eventually retired as the Administrative Assistant to the Director. Dancing was one of her passions. Mrs. Andrews loved to dance and was a member of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio where she won several dance competitions. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her grandson, Neal Griffith, her sisters, Lottie Westall, Sarah Franks, Helen Reavis and Alice ?Tootsie? Durham. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Griffith of Cleveland, GA and her niece Trish Alexander of Salisbury, NC. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Blvd; Charlotte. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Elmwood Cemetery, 700 West 6th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
