Obituary of Lew Bost

Lew Franklin Bost Mr. Bost, 67, of Charlotte, NC died Monday, October 25, 2010, at Mecklenburg Healthcare in Charlotte, NC. Lew was born December 21, 1942 in Concord, NC, son of the late Lewis and Evelyn Thompson Bost and was a graduate of Winecoff High School. Mr. Bost attended Western Carolina and graduated from Shaw University. Lew loved deep sea fishing and watching all types of sports, especially Western Carolina football and the Charlotte Panthers. Mr. Bost was retired from the Duke Power Employee Assistance Program and served on the board of directors of Hope Valley Treatment Center in Dobson, NC and on the committee of Fellowship by the Sea. He was a well respected member of the Charlotte AA program who helped many people thru his life experiences, strength and hope. Survivors include his son, Scott Bost of Swansboro, NC; daughter, Susan Bost Hill of Princeton, NJ; brother, Darrell Bost of Kannapolis, NC; grandson Vance Bost of Brown Summit, NC and granddaughter, Caroline Hill of Princeton, NJ. Lew will be deeply missed by his family, extended AA family and his many friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral service with the family receiving friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at 4:00 PM in Oakwood Cemetery in Concord, NC. Memorials may be made to Hope Valley Inc, 105 Country Rd., Dobson, NC 27917.
