Obituary of Jean Cooley

Jean Stover Cooley Mrs. Cooley, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2010 at her residence. She was a devoted wife; a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and a friend to everyone she met. She was born in Lattimore, NC, daughter of the late John and Elmira O?Kelley Stover. Mrs. Cooley was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grace United Methodist Women, Mary and Martha Circle, and the Adult Bible Class. She was active in community outreach and various ministries. She was a homemaker; and also worked with Eastman Kodak, Southern Bell, and Wachovia. She is survived by her husband, Andrew C. Cooley; sons, John Philip Cooley and his wife, Susan, and James Douglas Cooley and his wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Andrew Philip Cooley, Erin Cooley Keaton and her husband, Matthew, Chelsea Cooley Altman and her husband, Heath; and great-granddaughter Airlie Scott Altman. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12 at Grace United Methodist Church.
