Obituary of Robert Moore

Robert Allen Moore, Sr. Robert Allen Moore, 86, of Charlotte, NC passed away December 2, 2010. A native of Guilford County, Bob was born November 17, 1924, son of the late John Craven Moore and Gladys Caudle Moore. He graduated from Guilford College and served in the Navy in World War II. Bob came to Charlotte with Terrell Machine Company. He worked most of his life in the textile machinery industry. His last employment was with Stanley Drug Laboratories. A wonderful and devoted father and grandfather, Bob is survived by his wife, Jean Anderson Moore; son, Robert Allen Moore, Jr. and his wife, Judy of Lake Wylie, SC; daughter, Susan McConderee and her husband, Braydon of Matthews, NC; grandchildren, Ginger Moore of Charleston, SC, Jessi Strickland and her husband, Marty of Rock Hill, S.C., and Julie Moore of Rock Hill, SC; great-grandchildren, Lane and Kingsley Strickland. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert Allen Moore, Sr. will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2010 in the Francis Chapel of Myers Park United Methodist Church with the Reverend Bill Roth officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Luther Snyder Ruth Fisher Sunday School Class.
