Obituary of Cornelia Johnson

Cornelia Kohler Johnson Mrs. Cornelia Kohler Johnson, age 88 died Friday, December 3rd, in the comfort of her home with family members. Cornelia ?Connie? was born April 22, 1922 in Denver, Colorado to Ernest Lawrence and Cornelia ?Das? Zoeckler Hoffman. She graduated from Sherman High School and attended Austin College in Sherman Texas. She relocated to Charlotte with her husband, Harold Kohler who, in 1975 preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were sons Richard and Michael Kohler. She married Frederick Johnson later in life who also preceded her in death. She is survived by son, Larry Kohler, of Charleston, SC and daughter, Mrs. Fred Anderson (Connie) of Charlotte. She was blessed with five wonderful grandchildren, Courtney Sito, Andy, William, and Neely Anderson, all of Charlotte and Karla Kohler Lutz of Dyer, Indiana. Four great grandchildren, Walker and Emily Sito, of Charlotte and Hannah and Abby Lutz of Dyer. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratefulness to our ?adopted? family member and long time companion to Cornelia, Carolyn Blackmon, and the many other friends who have shared their time and love with her. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204 in appreciation of their wonderful and caring service to Cornelia or to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203, or Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC, 29412 (www.pethelpers.org). A family memorial service and interment will be held at Sharon Presbyterian Church at a later date.
