Obituary of Irwin Sahn

IRWIN H. SAHN Irwin H. Sahn, 91, of Charlotte, NC died on December 4, 2010. Mr. Sahn was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Charles Philip Sahn and Josephine Berger Sahn. Irwin was an insurance broker for many years. He was an avid golfer and a member of various country clubs during his lifetime. Mr. Sahn lived in several states during his life, but was always an active member of his Jewish community. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and ability to tell funny stories. Irwin was a very big fan of Duke Basketball. Mr. Sahn is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Mildred P. Schultz Sahn; his son, Dr. Steven Sahn and his wife Claire; daughter, Sondra Comen and her husband Steven; daughter Jill-Ann Benson and her husband Robert; his sister, Francine Hartman; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Hankins and Whittington Chapel with a visitation to follow. Interment will be private.
