Obituary of Jimmy Sullivan

Jimmy Dale Sullivan Mr. Sullivan, 79, of Charlotte and formerly of Charleston, SC, died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center. Jimmy was born October 7, 1931, in Taylorsville, MS son of the late Christopher Lum and Bell Williams Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan served in the US Air Force for over 23 years and was attached to the Audio/Visual/ Photo Unit and served both stateside and abroad. Jimmy enjoyed playing billiards and photography. He was loving, caring and devoted to his late wife, Margaret who preceded him in death in 2004. In addition to his parents Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his brother, Dewitt Sullivan. Surviving are his daughters, Donna Sandoe of Charlotte, NC, who had taken care of her father for the last several years and also Pamela Folsom, Suzie Crafton, and Kim Williams all of TX, and Liz Caldwell of MI and several grandchildren. A service to celebrate his life will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2010, in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.
