Obituary of Carrie Bigham

Carrie Autry Bigham Mrs. Bigham, 90, of Charlotte, NC, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Brian Center. She was born in Union County, NC on September 18, 1920, daughter of the late Vester and Effie Riggins Autry. Carrie worked for several hosiery companies in Charlotte and retired from Associated Grocers, also of Charlotte. Mrs. Bigham is survived by her sons, Harold Bigham of Monroe, NC and Paul Bigham of Charlotte; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a brother J.D. Autry and his wife Bobbie of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Bigham on November 29, 2010, in addition to 7 other siblings. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
