Obituary of Susan Law

Susan Elizabeth Bailey Law Mrs. Law, 40, of Huntersville, NC, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 following a three year battle with breast cancer. Susan was born in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of Billy Dan Bailey and Martha Maurice Bailey. She graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Susan received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from UNC ? Greensboro. Susan grew up at First Baptist Church Charlotte and was most recently a member of Lake Norman Community Church in Huntersville. Susan loved God, her family and her many friends. A natural musician, she played piano, flute, guitar and loved to sing. She thoroughly enjoyed homemaking and was heavily involved in volunteer work at her children?s school, Huntersville Elementary School. In addition to her parents, Bill and Martha Bailey, Susan is survived by her husband, Christopher Jerel Law, their three children, Bailey Elizabeth Law, Christopher Jerel Law Jr. and Luke David Law; sister, Dana Leigh Bailey of Honolulu, HI; brother, Brian David Bailey and his wife, Dianne of Charlotte, parents-in-law, Charles James Law, Jr. and Camilla Stuck Law of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Amygayle Womble and her husband, James of Cary; brother-in-law, Charles James Law III and his wife, Catherine of Williamsburg, VA; and nieces and nephews, Kate and Brad Bailey, Philip, Katie and Joseph Womble and Carter and Caleb Law. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Charlotte. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard.
