Obituary of Mary Noe

Mrs. Noe, called Lanie by family and friends, entered the presence of the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2011. Born on February 9, 1959 in Charlotte, NC, Lanie was the eldest child of Lilian Avis Dillard and the late Daniel Jones Cochran. Lanie graduated from Olympic High School in 1977 and received her Associate Degree in Medical Records Technology from Central Piedmont Community College in 1986. She then worked for Presbyterian and several other area hospitals. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Lawrence Noe and her step-father, Robert Walden Dillard. She is survived by her loving son, Dylan Cochran; her mother, Lilian Dillard; her brothers, Danny Cochran and his wife, Denise of Clearwater, FL and Rob Cochran and his wife, Brandi of Gastonia, NC; and nieces Jordan, Logan and Courtney Cochran. A celebration of Lanie?s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, 2701 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28209. Committal service will follow in the church?s memorial garden. The family will receive friends following the committal service at the church in Henry Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, 2701 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28209 or the Charlotte SPCA, P.O.
