Obituary of Marcia Jackson

Marcia Southern Jackson Mrs. Jackson, 69, of Charlotte, NC died on February 4, 2011 at her residence after a six month battle with deep depression. She was very active in the community and women?s advocacy groups. Mrs. Jackson was the director the Loaves and Fishes food bank in Kalamazoo, MI for twenty years and in 2002 she received the YWCA woman of the year award. She also volunteered at The Urban Ministry and the woman?s shelter in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Richard D. Jackson; daughters, Joanna Jackson and Jennifer Jackson Kaplan and her husband, John; grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Kaplan; and one brother and one sister.
